Vanessa and Stephen will introduce the opening session, focusing on the transformation of forensic DNA capacity in Africa and its role in supporting justice and humanitarian efforts. An African-inspired setting with vibrant, brightly coloured couches, accompanied by Africa-themed music and visuals on the screen and stage, will set the tone for this session. Each speaker will be invited sequentially to join the couch and conversation, presenting their topics in conversational form from the couch with visual aids via background PPT slides. The session will end with a panel discussion featuring all four speakers, encouraging interaction from the audience.
