The British Academy’s Visiting Fellowships programme offers exceptional academics worldwide the opportunity to be hosted at a UK higher education or research institution. This programme aims to strengthen global and UK scholarly connections, encouraging collaborative research partnerships. It enables international academics to conduct research or professional development alongside UK counterparts, thereby enhancing the UK’s research capacity in humanities and social sciences. The British Academy welcomes applications from a diverse range of institutions, lasting 3 to 6 months with funding up to £40,000, and particularly encourages applications from historically and/or structurally disadvantaged groups, low-income countries, and female researchers.
